Been A Long Time Coming
Guys!!! I can’t believe it! I’m actually so emotional! This feels so surreal. Voila Amis is Live! This is real! Thank you Jesus. Mehn! You guys! like the title says, it’s been a long time coming. I had been on this mountain for almost 5 years, but finally We’re here. My Goodness! I’m so sorry but I can’t help it! So many emotions.
Brief History Y’all! It took me almost 5 years to launch. If some of you who followed our instagram page a long time ago remember, we changed names so many times I lost count. From one of my personal names (Irepadeola), to two words I coined from a personal item (Gold Scrapbook). I just wanted to be intentional about the name of the website.
So, on a fateful day, I was watching Emily in Paris - a show on Netflix and the name Voila Amis dropped on my heart. I quickly ran to check on all social media platforms and domain websites if the name had not been taken and fortunately it wasn’t. So I registered the name and started working on the website, which was a lot of work (a post for another day). Also, I was intentional about the official launch day of this website because it initially was supposed to be released on my birthday which is the 4th of February, but the website was far from done then. So I decided to release it on the 2nd of April which is the flipped date of my birthday. So VOILA!😁
People be asking, what is the meaning of Voila Amis? Voila Amis is the french phrase for Here you Go! Friends and Here You Go! is an idiomatic expression said when you’ve given someone what they requested for. With that, every post from Voila Amis will be for your viewing pleasure and your humble requests will be paid attention to, so stay tuned to us. We hope to grow as much as God will allow, so please keep praying for us as we need it.
The purpose of this website is for each and everyone of you to be inspired to live your best life, be motivated to go for whatever God lays in your heart. Be it starting a business, traveling to cities and countries, celebrating special days as big as you want, styling up yourself as unique as you want, and ultimately being the best version of yourself. Do not forget to loosen up and not be so uptight in this crazy world we’re in. Of course! I encourage you that whatever you do, do it to the glory of God. Amen Somebody?!!
